Moved by the desire of preventing the important episodes which I witnessed in the struggle for the integration of East Timor seized by time, despite all the shortcomings, I mustered all my courage, to disclose my reflections in this book. In addition, all the actors in the struggle for East Timor integration whom I met, gave their recollection of events in an oPen rendition and invaluable analysis,, so that they could be used as research material.
