The Economic Policy Packages launched by the Government of Indonesia since 2015 to 2016 is a breakthrough effort to overcome the sluggishness of the national economy that occurred in early 2015 as a result of financial turmoil that hit the global economy-particularly due to the weakening economic of the United States and China and the decline of world commodity prices such as oil The economic pressure is further intensified when the rupiah continued to weaken against the US dollar due to the uncertainty over the increase of American Central Bank's benchmark interest rate (The Fed), as well as the devaluation of the Chinese Yuan in August 2015, In order to anticipate the impact, the government immediately responded by issuing a series of Economic Policy Packages starting the third quarter of 2015. The policies are aimed at encouraging the improvement of investment climate and acceleration of development projects, providing tax incentives as well as reducing energy prices for the industrial sector.
